GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

Pellet heating is an absolute hit at the moment because it is two times cheaper than heating with oil and electricity, and even up to three times cheaper than heating with industrial electricity. With our pellet boilers and fireplaces, you save money and are fully warm at all times. Using and maintaining THERMOFLUX PELLING AND INTERIO boilers and fireplaces is very simple both because of their construction and because of the physical characteristics of the pellets themselves (calorific power).

Pellets are biofuels with a high density, which is where their high calorific power (4.7-5.0 kWh/kg) and enormous fuel efficiency come from.

Pellets are usually a by-product of processing wood, wood scraps and sawdust, but not from wood that has been chemically treated or painted.

These wood residues go through several stages until they are transformed into quality pellets. In order to create high-quality, highly efficient pellets, wood residues must go through the following story:

-drying of wooden remains
-crushing and grinding of the material in order to obtain as compact a mass as possible
-compression (pressing) under high pressure without adding any binding agents
- the compressed mass then passes through a mold that has openings of the appropriate size, approximately 6-8 mm
- the high pressure of the press causes an increase in the temperature of the wood and thus the lignin contained in the wood melts and forms a natural glue that maintains the shape of the pellets after cooling.
- Pellets that are produced according to current European standards (DIN 51731 or Ö-Norm M-7135)
- They have good structural strength, uniform high density and low moisture content (below 10%), which increases their fuel efficiency.

Their small size and correct geometry (short cylinders with a diameter of 6-10mm and a length of 10-30mm) allow automatic supply to the burners and very precise adjustment of the automation of boilers and pellet fireplaces.
