It functioned as an independent hospital until the end of 1962. From 01.01.1963 General Hospital and Home for Public Health merged into PHI Medical Center "Kumanovo" which functioned until 31.08.2005. With the Decision of the Ministry of Health dated 10.12.2004 for the re-registration of a part of PHI Medical Center in PHI General Hospital from 01.09.2005 PHI General Hospital "Kumanovo" functions as a separate legal entity.

PHI General Hospital "Kumanovo" is located in the center of the city of Kumanovo on st. "October 11" bb. The hospital has an area of 56,757 m2 of land and a large number of buildings with a useful area of about 20,482 m2. Due to its geographical position, the municipality of Kumanovo is located in the North-East region of the Republic of Moldova with the largest number of inhabitants (105,484). As a regional hospital, it also provides health care to residents of the municipalities of Lipkovo, Staro Nagoricane, Kriva Palanka, Rankovce and Kratovo. The total number of inhabitants that this Hospital should serve according to official data for all mentioned municipalities is 173,000 inhabitants. The hospital has a capacity of 306 hospital beds.

The public health institution General Hospital "Kumanovo" - Kumanovo is a public health institution with rights, obligations and responsibilities determined by the Law, Collective Agreement, Statute and other general acts. The general hospital is responsible for all transactions with third parties with all its resources at its disposal. The founder of the General Hospital is the Government of the Republic of Macedonia. The general hospital is represented and represented by the director. With the authorization of the director, the General Hospital is represented and represented by the employee authorized by the director.
